We're recognizing our outstanding students! The University Awards celebrates UW-Green Bay's best and brightest at the end of each semester. Nominated by faculty, staff, and peers, students detail their achievements in academics, campus, and community involvement. Recipients are honored at a special pre-Commencement ceremony. Join us in celebrating excellence!
Awards
Which awards can you nominate for? Great question! There are two award categories.
Chancellor's Leadership Medallion
Awarded to graduating seniors who have contributed significant and sustained leadership while maintaining evidence of academic quality (a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.25 or better), demonstrated meaningful campus and/or community involvement and showed potential for future achievement and a commitment to personal growth.
University Leadership Award
Given to graduating seniors who have demonstrated active and meaningful campus and/or community involvement while maintaining evidence of academic quality, demonstrated outstanding leadership ability, provided service to UW-Green Bay and/or the community and showed potential for further achievement and commitment to personal growth. Must be in good academic standing with the University.
Awards Process
Learn the ins and outs of awards at UW-Green Bay.
Nominations
Graduating students are nominated by faculty, staff and fellow students.
Nominees Complete a Questionnaire
They must then complete an extensive questionnaire detailing their classroom, campus and community achievements and contributions.
Applications Are Reviewed
A committee of faculty, staff and students reviews these applications before selecting recipients.
Celebrate Our Recipients!
Recipients are honored at a special ceremony the evening before Commencement.
Deadlines
The deadlines for the Spring 2024 awards are:
- Friday, January 12: Nominations open
- Monday, February 5 by 11:59 p.m.: Deadline for nominations
- Monday, March 4 by 8 a.m.: Deadline for questionnaires
- Friday, May 10: University awards program
