UW-Green Bay led to high-energy career
When Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) and Peoples Energy Corporation merged a year ago, they called on Diane Ford to take over as controller and vice president of finance. Ford had been with the company since graduation, climbing the ranks to become WPS Resources controller.
Her role today includes oversight of financials for $11 billion in assets in about 40 different companies in the United States and Canada. Her staff is accountable for all accounting and tax work for Integrys, including establishing policy, compliance, budget coordination, oversight of external audits and financial reporting.
UW-Green Bay’s role: “I think it’s important to have a regional university that sees the value in business partnerships and in preparing the next generation of workers… We see the University supporting the community, and the business community supporting the University.”
