She’s in the driver’s seat for Saturn
A native of Brillion, Jill Lajdziak grew up in the automotive business through her father's dealership, Jentink Chevrolet Oldsmobile. Her dream to work for General Motors came to fruition shortly after graduation when she started with GM as a district sales manager. Nearly 30 years later, successive positions with the company have led her to her current position as general manager for Saturn.
Lajdziak was part of the Saturn startup team that in 1986 created the brand's lauded dealership network with its "no haggle, no hassle" selling philosophy. In 2005, she was named one of the leading women in the North American auto industry. National speaking engagements and 16-hour days are her norm, and without complaint.
“I love it,” she says about her work. “I am blessed it is my passion. I believe intellect is great, but intellect alone gets you nowhere. At the end of the day it is work ethic and drive…”
