An Investment,
Not an Expense

Why Education There is no escaping the fact that for most of us the cost of college is expensive.  While the cost of college can be high, the cost of not going is even higher. Over a lifetime, a college graduate will earn $1 million more than someone with only a high school diploma.

Fortunately, public college costs are not nearly as high as most students and parents think. Financial aid is available to those who qualify and you don’t necessarily need to be low-income to qualify.

College costs generally include tuition and fees, living expenses, books and supplies, transportation and personal expenses.
  • Tuition and Fees pay for classes and the use of some campus facilities, like libraries.
  • Living Expenses include room and board (the cost of living in a college dormitory or apartment and food).
  • Books and Supplies are required for every class. These costs will vary from semester to semester.
  • Transportation expenses include gas, parking, and travel home for the holidays.
  • Personal Expenses include items like clothes, shampoo and laundry.
The more education you have, the more likely you will:
  • Live Longer
  • Have Better Health
  • Stay Employed
  • Enjoy Your Work
  • Change Careers More Easily
  • Earn More Money
