The Cofrin Memorial Arboretum is named after the late John P. Cofrin and his father, Austin Cofrin, whose family wished to honor them for their contributions to the northeastern Wisconsin community. A gift from the family made initial development possible, and subsequent gifts from this family and the family of Dr. David Cofrin, John's brother, have allowed continued development and maintenance of the Arboretum.
