The Student Employment Office posts part-time employment positions for students. These positions may be Federal Work
Study positions, both on and off campus, Regular Student Employment on-campus, and off-campus jobs with private
employers. Please read our disclaimer before using PRO.
The Student Employment Office does not place students into jobs - students must apply for jobs. Jobs are posted on the
Phoenix Recruitment Online (PRO) website. You are able to access PRO shortly after enrollment. Instructions for logging into PRO are listed on the opening page. If you have difficulty accessing PRO, please contact:
How to Find a Job
The best way to search for open positions in PRO is by POSITION TYPE. If you were awarded Work Study, you are eligible for ALL position types except "post graduate". Those students not awarded a Work Study amount are only eligble for 'on campus non work study' (regular employment) or 'off campus non work study' positions.
Each position announcement includes the job description and requirements, when and how to apply, and the name of the
contact person.
Helpful Tips...
- Edit your resume and cover letter for each position you're applying to
- Include a copy of your class schedule with your application, as well as bring it to the interview
- Practice basic interview questions with friends or family
- Dress professionally for the interview
- Have a few questions to ask about the job, the office, or duties required of you
Other Options
Although PRO is the first place students should be looking when job searching, here are some other options available:
Additional Information
You are instructed to complete a "Profile" on your initial visit to the PRO system. Answering "Yes" to the questions, "Employer Can See Resume" under Additional Information, and "Are You Currently Seeking a Job On-campus while
Attending UW-Green Bay?" under Miscellaneous Information, will allow your resume to be placed in a virtual Resume
Book that on-campus employers can view. Make sure to indicate in the “Objective” section of your resume that you are
interested in obtaining a job on or off campus.
You may follow these links for additional help with creating
a resume (Word), and making your resume
available on-line (Word) to prospective employers via PRO.
You may be offered more than one job. Please contact the Student Employment Coordinator (studentemployment@uwgb.edu) if you
obtain more than one job.
