Student Employee of the Year

SEOTY 2011 Winner

Stacy Hehn was named UW-Green Bay's 7th Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) in a ceremony held in the Phoenix Rooms on April 11, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. Stacy was one of eleven nominees who competed for this award. The awards were presented by Mike Stearney, Dean of Enrollment Services and Diana Delbecchi, Student Employment Coordinator.

Stacy is majoring in environmental policy and planning and minoring in environmental science. She is employed as the Head Student Building Manager for the Kress Events Center. This is where Stacy is described as being a strong leader, willing to work beyond what is required of her, and puts the needs of the department before her own. She was nominated by Tim Helein and Jeff Krueger of the Kress Events Center. Jeff and Tim both describe Stacy as someone who is committed to the campus community and constantly shows leadership in her role. Stacy works an additional job at the University Union and was also nominated by Kelly Kramp for her role as a Personnel Coordinator and Sustainability Intern. Stacy is the first student in UW-Green Bay history to be nominated by two departments, which truly highlights her outstanding work ethic and dedication to both her positions. For these reasons, and many others, she was awarded the Student Employee of the Year award for 2011.

Stacy's
name has been engraved in a plaque that will hang in the Financial Aid & Student Employment Office. She received an engraved clock which serves as a reminder of how much we value the time she has spent giving to UW-Green Bay as a student employee. We are all very pleased with her dedication to our institution. Congratulations from the SEOTY Committee!
