Albert Einstein and Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to assist students who have demonstrated excellence in academic coursework and in theoretical and applied research projects at UW-Green Bay.  Students will be awarded as funds become available. Criteria: 1) Full time undergraduate student at UW-Green Bay,  2) Student has attained a minimum of 54 credits (Junior status), and 3) Minimum 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale) at time of application, 4) Have received a strong recommendation from two faculty members in the student's area of study, 5) Have successfully completed at least one significant research project or demonstrated the potential for research through completed term papers, journals, or other appropriate forms. Projects may pertain to community, business, organization, etc.

Altrusa of Door County Scholarship for Women
Three scholarships of $500 each will be awarded each semester. Criteria: 1) Be returning to school to complete vocational education interrupted by lack of finances, family responsibilities, etc., or be starting a new business after the above interruptions. 2) Be completing studies in fields related to improving your level of literacy or quality of life. 3) Have a demonstrated need and be able to justify this need for additional assistance. 4) Have a potential for success in Education and Employment.
Deadline: January 31, 2010.

Altrusa of Green Bay Scholarship for Women
Twwo scholarships of $500 each will be awarded. Criteria: 1) Student who plans to further her education in an Adult Continuing Education or a degree program. 2) A resident of Door County for at least six months prior to application. 3) Full or part time student who has attended at least one year of continued education, or returning to school with the intent of improving her career potential. 4) Must show proof of acceptance to a college, university, or technical school.
Deadline: July 15 for fall/winter semester; November 15 for winter/spring semester.

American Association of University Women (AAUW)Scholarship
The Racine branch of the AAUW is offering a $3000 scholarship to a female student who is 1) a legal resident of Racine County, WI, 2) a junior in a four-year accredited degree-granting institution as a full-time student (12 or more credits, 3) carrying a GPA of 3.0 or above.
Deadline: Applications must be received March 6, 2010.

Department of Children and Families (DCF) Scholarships
The Department of Children and Families (DCF) Scholarship Program awards scholarship funds for youth who have been in out-of-home care and are entering a degree, license or certificate program. Criteria: 1) Have been in out-of-home care (OHC) placement (foster home, group home, residential care center or court ordered Kinship Care) for at least six months after the age of 15 and left OHC at age 18. 2) have been in OHC for at least six months and adopted after the age of 16, 3) have been in OHC placement in Wisconsin as described above, or be accepted into a postsecondary institution, 4) have been in OHC placement in another state but has become a resident of Wisconsin prior to attending a Wisconsin postsecondary institution, and 5) be age 20 or less, unless enrolled in a post-secondary program on his / her 21st  birthday, extending eligibility to age 23.

Hispanic College Fund Scholars Program
The Hispanic College Fund hosts many application links and contains valuable information regarding scholarships for students from various ethnic backgrounds, areas of academic study and academic levels.

James Madison Graduate Fellowship
Criteria: 1) Secondary school teacher of social studies or American history, or planning to become one; 2) Committed to a career in teaching American history, American government, or social studies at the secondary level. 3) May attend any accredited institution of higher education in the United States for either a Master of Arts (MS), a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), or a Master of Education (MEd) with an emphasis on American history, government or political science.

Minority Teacher Scholarship: The Foundation for the Advancement of Education
This is an annual $1000 scholarship for minority (African American, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander) students aspiring to become teachers. Criteria: 1) Must be attending full time as an undergraduate or graduate student; 2) GPA must be at least 3.0. 3) Must be a US citizen.

MyStateParkPhotos.com Scholarship Program
Criteria: 1) One contestant each quarter will be selected to win a $500 scholarship. 2) Applicant must submit a photograph with a 250 word essay attached. 3) The essay should express what the student learned concerning the subject of the photo. 4) Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. 5) Must be enrolled at a technical school, art school, two-year or four-year college or university. 6) Must be accepted into a degreed or certification program in photography or must be currently (at time of registration) enrolled in a photography class. 7) Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Deadline: Judging will occur every three months on or around January 7, April 7, July 7, and October 7. Registration periods are July 1 through September 30, October 1 through December 31, January 1 through March 31, and April 1 through June 30.

Northeast Wisconsin (NE) International Scholarship Program
Two $1000 scholarship are sponsored by the NE Wisconsin International Business Development Program for students majoring or pursuing a certificate in an internationally oriented degrees and certificates or accredited semester abroad curriculum.
Criteria: 1) Resident of NE Wisconsin; 2) Enrolled full-time at a two- or four-year institution in NE Wisconsin; 3) Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Deadline: February 19, 2010.

Nursing Education Scholarship
Criteria: 1) Must be accepted and/or enrolled in an accredited nursing program. 2) Must be attending school as a full or part time student and remain in that status. 3) Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. 4) Scholarship is to used only for tuition costs, not books or other fees. 5) Applicants who are awarded the scholarship are required to make a six month commitment to work at Community Memorial Hospital as a staff nurse for each semester the scholarship is awarded. Employment with Community Memorial Hospital must begin within 30 days of graduation.
Deadline: April 1 for Summer Semester, June 1 for Fall Semester and Nov 1 for Spring Semester

Wisconsin Medical Society General Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to students pursuing education as doctors of medicine, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and occupational therapists. Preference given to those, who plan to practice in Wisconsin upon completing their training.  Applicants must 1) be a U.S. citizen and a resident of WI, and 2) be a full time student enrolled in a health career program.
 Deadline: Applications must be received April 1, 2010.

Wisconsin Medical Society Amy Hunter-Wilson, MD Scholarship
The purpose of the Amy Hunter-Wilson, MD Scholarship Fund is to assist American Indians who pursue training or advanced education as doctors of medicine, nurses, or in related health careers. 1) Must be a permanent resident and a U.S. citizen 2) Must be an enrolled member of a federally recognized American Indian tribe who has completed high school or in the case of pursuing a doctor of medicine degree, completed an undergraduate program 3) Must be a full-time student or an adult returning to school in an allied health field or an adult working in a non-professional health related field returning for a professional license or degree.

Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium
Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium is a NASA funded program dedicated to equipping Wisconsin residents with the math, science and technology tools they need to thrive in the next century. These grants and programs are also available for phychology, government, business and many other disciplines.
