Conversation table with French native, Marie Gauvain. Wednesdays 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m., Here's a chance to brush up on your French, practice your skills with other language students and meet and talk with Francophone natives. "La Table français" meets once a week in the Common Grounds Coffeehouse!!! Mairie Gauvain, a French native, is the Fall 2009 convenor of the french table.

Le Cercle français
The French Club sponsors the table française, the French concerts, film nights, attendance of French cultural plays, activities, etc., and gives students the opportunity to know other people who share similar interests. Activities often include crêpe parties, visits to community grades schools, high schools and businesses dealing with French and French/Canadian culture. It provides a wonderful opportunity to learn leadership skills through serving as an officer. Contact Tiffany (wilhtm31@uwgb.edu) for further information.

Tutorial services:
Free tutorial services are provided by experienced advanced language students for those students interested in getting additional help with their language studies. Feel free to use these sessions as excellent review sessions outside of class. Contact one of our tutors to sign up.

Teaching Internships:
We offer the opportunity to teach French in the community at a local elementary school. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice your critical thinking skills. Future teaching candidates love this opportunity as well. Contact Professor E. Nicole Meyer for further information, meyern@uwgb.edu
Internships
The French program offers a number of professional practicums in the community and abroad. Language students have the opportunity of interning as language teachers (see above), work on marketing projects or in local or other firms. Contact Professor E.
