Student: Custodial and Maintenance Positions

The Office of Residence Life employs about 15 students for facilities custodial
and maintenance during the academic year and more than 30 students
in the summer months. The starting pay is $8.00 per hour with
a maximum of 20 per week (academic year) between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30
p.m. (Monday-Friday) and up to 40 hours per week in the summer
months.
Duties:
Most student
employees will be assigned to cleaning duties in residence halls and new
apartments. Some positions are available on the facilities
maintenance and painting staff.
Requirements:
Facilities
Operations Staff must have good interpersonal communication,
organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to
respond to students and staff in a positive manner.
He/she must
be detail-oriented, be willing to work as a team member, and be able
to perform physical labor such as cleaning and lifting (up to 50
lbs). The employees must maintain a 2.0 GPA throughout
employment.
Summer Housing Assistant
Positions
The Summer Housing Assistant serves on
a staff of eight, supervised by a team of professional staff,
assisting in the administration of summer camps, conferences, summer
guest housing, and summer student housing at the University of
Wisconsin Green Bay. This responsibility includes providing
staffing for the camp and conference housing operation including but
not limited to: serving as a Resident Assistant in an assigned
building, check-ins and check-outs, providing guest services, serving in an on-call and on-duty capacity, and providing
guest services.
