Documenting in the APA Style
Acknowledging the resources used during the research process by providing complete and accurate citations, is a courtesy to the reader and reflects your intellectual honesty. There are many ways to cite sources in a research paper or project, the American Psychological Association (APA) style is the most common method of documentation in the social sciences. It is important to use citations both within the body of your paper and in a reference list, sometimes called a bibliography, at the end of your paper. For a complete list of specifics about the APA style for both the reference list and in-text citations, please refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association REF BF76.7 P83 2001, located on the 3rd floor of the Cofrin library.
