What we’re looking for
Students who’ve successfully completed at least 15 transferable credits from an accredited college or university after attending high school.
Successful transfer students have a minimum 2.5 grade point average (4.0 scale) on at least 15 credits of transferable coursework. Students may be
placed on a waiting list for transfer admission if their grade point average is between 2.0 and 2.49. (UW Colleges students transferring directly after
earning an associate’s degree may be admitted with a gpa between 2.0 and 2.49). Because of enrollment limitations, the University may not be able
to accommodate all students who meet the minimum requirements. Students will be admitted directly or placed on a waiting list depending on their
academic record and time of application.
Students with less than a 2.0 grade point average on transferable coursework may be con¬sidered for admission or placed on a waiting list based on
review of the comprehensive academic record and consideration of the applicant’s letter of appeal.
What if I don’t have 15 transferable credits?
What if I have questions or circumstances that have affected my academic performance?
We understand, sometimes things happen in college. The first thing you want to make sure to do it explain your circumstances in your application statement. Please
contact the admissions office if you want to know more about admissions guidelines - uwgb@uwgb.edu or 920.465.2111.
