Syllabus Grades To Be Based On: 1. Concert, Rehearsal, Sectional/Octet attendance Attendance is the major determination in this grading policy. In addition to absences, two tardies will count as one absence. Tardy is defined as arriving after the Director begins warm-up. If an unavoidable emergency occurs, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to submit an excused absence form to either your sectional leader or the Director upon your return to rehearsal. Requests for future rehearsal absences should be made in the same manner. You will find additional copies of absence forms on Dr. Witwer's door. If you miss a dress rehearsal without prior authorization, your grade will be NO HIGHER than a B/C! If you miss a performance without prior authorization, your grade will be NO HIGHER than a D!
