After you apply
Shortly after you've hit submit on the online application you will be receiving a letter from the Admissions Office giving you a Campus ID and Application Number to help you check the status of your application.

Three things can happen when you have a complete application:
  1. You get accepted. Thick envelope comes in the mail (the box in front of your house), you get a UWGB email address, lots of next steps included. More details are available on the admitted students page.
  2. You get a letter stating that you have been put on a waiting list.
  3. The third possibility is that your application will be denied. If you think the denial is in error or you are interested in transferring to UW-Green Bay after completing transfer work at another institution successfully, please contact the Admissions Office. 920.465.2111 or uwgb@uwgb.edu. We are committed to helping students find access to higher education and we have many relationships with other institutions that transfer student into UW-Green Bay.

    1. ACT/SAT: Why do you need my ACT/SAT scores?
We require official ACT/SAT scores for all Freshmen applicants, and for all transfer applicants who have not completed at least 15 transferable credits, including an English composition course. If you are a transfer student with credits in progress that will meet the parameters above, we can delay your decision until the end of your current semester. Be cautioned, however, that there may be implications with both admission capacity and housing availability if you decide you'd like us to wait.

    2. ACT/SAT: Why do you need my scores directly from ACT?

When test scores are transmitted to us from the testing agency, the electronic file contains a great deal of information beyond your test scores. Since the additional information is often used to help us make admission decisions, we require the full student record to be transmitted via an electronic data file.

    3. ACT/SAT: How do I request that official scores be sent to you?

Log on to www.actstudent.org for ACT scores or www.collegeboard.org for SAT scores.

    4. Transcripts - High School: Why do you need my high school transcripts?
We require official high school transcripts (OR GED/HSED records) for all Freshmen applicants, and for all transfer applicants who have not completed at least 15 transferable credits. If you are a transfer student with credits in progress that will meet the parameters above, we can delay your decision until the end of your current semester. Be cautioned, however, that there may be implications with both admission capacity and housing availability if you decide you'd like us to wait.

    5. Transcripts - College: Why do you need my college transcripts?

By UW System policy, we collect transcripts from all post-secondary institutions a student attends. This includes post-secondary courses completed while still in high school. It also applies regardless of whether you intend to seek transfer credit from previous institution(s), whether the courses were successfully completed, and/or whether you withdrew from your classes.

    6. Transcripts - Why do transcripts have to come directly from each school?
Virtually all colleges and universities require that all official academic records need to come directly from the issuing institution. It minimizes the possibility of tampering, and also allows for evaluation of credit to be done based on original records (rather than another school's interpretation of how a course transfers).

    7. Application Fee: Why must I pay the application fee?
By UW System policy, the application fee is required from all Freshmen applicants, as well as from all transfer applicants unless the last institution attended is one of the 2-year UW Colleges campuses and the fee was paid there.

    8. Application Fee: Can I pay the fee by credit card?
