Espanol The question is always asked: Why should I attend UWGB vs. any other college. What is unique about UWGB? Alex - First and foremost are its people, who make up what UWGB is. From the maintenance person who makes for a clean and safe enviomment to study to the individual instructors/professors who make a genuine investment in your success just for the asking. Can you comment on the relationship between the university, the community and/or the state? Alex - There is a strong feeling of community and like any community that grows and changes UWGB leads the way towards understanding and acceptance of the global community in which we are all a part of. UWGB's leadership is connecting the dots between the community at large, the diverse school systems, city, county and state governments, and businesses. This connection is an investment for future success for everybody. It opens up the sharing of resources and ideas, the sharing ofresponsibilty for the well being of all those who are fortunate to be a part of it. Taking risks, thinking outside of the box, paradigm shifts from within all describes UWGB evolving into the school of choice. What are (or were) you looking forward to in your UWGB experience? Alex - My individual experience at UWGB has and continues to challenge me to fulfilling my dreams and aspirations and just as important UWGB has given me role that is much larger than myself in this community. |
