General Information

On-Campus Housing

UW-Green Bay does not require students to live on campus. If there is a chance you might want to live on campus, you should contract for housing now. More information about housing at UW-Green Bay was included in your admission folder (if you are a degree-seeking student), or you can go to the Office of Residence Life website for more information.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

The free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be completed.* The UW-Green Bay school code is 003899. A step-by-step guide to completing the FAFSA process can be found at our Financial Aid Office website. We encourage all students to explore scholarship options as well.
*If you believe you may not be eligible to complete the FAFSA, contact you advisor to learn about your options.

Email & SIS

Use your username and password to access both your UW-Green Bay email and the Student Information System (SIS). Go to uwgb.edu and click on Current Students. For your email account, choose Outlook Web Access. For SIS, choose Student Information System. Your UW-Green Bay email account is where all official communication will now be sent. In your SIS account you will find your credit evaluation, register for classes, see your financial aid, and pay your bills.

If you were previously admitted to UW-Green Bay and changed your password at that time, the password in your admission letter does not reflect your changed password. If you don't remember your password or need to reset your password, go to Password Reset Form.

If You Change Your Senior Year Schedule

Your admission to UW-Green Bay was based on many factors, including the rigor of your high school courses. Our evaluation of rigor included your senior year class schedule. Therefore, if you decide to make changes in your schedule you must seek approval from UW-Green Bay Admissions to ensure that your admission status is not changed (or revoked) based on your schedule change. Please fill out the Schedule Change Approval Form, obtain approval from your school counselor, and submit the form to the Admissions Office. We will notify you regarding whether your change is approved.

Registration

New freshmen admitted for the spring can contact Academic Advising at 920-465-2111 to set up an individual appointment.

Wisconsin Math Placement Testing

Information regarding the Wisconsin Math Placement Test is generally available in late January. You will register for your placement tests beginning February 1. If you plan to take a foreign language class at UW-Green Bay, we strongly recommend that you also take the foreign language placement test.

Declaring Your Major

You are not required to declare a major right away at UW-Green Bay. However, all students must declare before they have 45 earned college credits. Most majors and minors are open for students to declare at any time. However, the majors of Communication, Education, and Social Work have separate entrance requirements that must be met before you can declare one of these majors. Please refer to the advisor(s) in these programs for more information.
