Office of Admission

Next Steps

Once you get your acceptance package in the mail, you will find your username and password inside. These are the keys to your UWGB journey, and that journey begins now.

  1. APPLY FOR HOUSING!
If there is any chance that you might want to live on-campus, apply for housing NOW. More information about housing at UW-Green Bay was included in your admission folder (if you're a degree-seeking student), or you can go to Office of Residence Life Web site for more information.
  2. CHECK YOUR E-MAIL
You were assigned a UWGB e-mail account upon admission. Various University offices will be communicating with you via your UWGB student e-mail account. Be sure to check it periodically. Information regarding accessing your e-mail account can be found on the Computer and Information Technology Web site.
  3. IF YOU CHANGE YOUR SENIOR CLASS SCHEDULE
Your admission to UW-Green Bay was based on many factors, including the rigor of your high school courses. Our evaluation of rigor included your senior year class schedule. Therefore, if you decide to make changes in your schedule you must seek approval from UW-Green Bay Admissions to ensure that your admission status is not changed (or revoked) based on your schedule change. Please fill out the Schedule Change Approval Form (PDF), obtain approval from your school counselor, and submit the form to the Admissions Office at the address provided. We will notify you regarding whether your choice is approved.
  4. APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
Access the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. If a link is not available for the school year for which you have been admitted, check back. The link will be active as soon as the form is available. For other financial aid related questions, including scholarship information, visit the UWGB Financial Aid Office Web site.
  5. EXPLORE THE STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM
Much of your university business will be conducted through the Student Information System (SIS). Certain functions related to financial aid and registration happen through SIS, so it's a good idea to get to know your way around.
  6. TAKE YOUR MATH PLACEMENT TEST
Information regarding the Wisconsin Math Placement Test is generally available in late January. You will register for your placement tests at http://www.uwgb.edu/testing beginning February 1. If you plan to take a foreign language class at UW-Green Bay, we strongly recommend that you also take the foreign language placement test.
  7. REGISTER FOR FOCUS
FOCUS is our comprehensive program for first year students. Check out the FOCUS Web site for more information about the program, as well as upcoming dates. If you are a transfer or reentry student, see your admission folder for registration information.
