Phoenix Scholar Award

Affording college is important to you. And to us. That's why we are so excited to be able to offer a program that provides merit-based awards to non-resident undergraduate students, international students, and non-resident graduate students. For those who qualify for these awards, this benefit is intended to honor your strong academic performance, something we truly value at UW-Green Bay.

1. Tell us what type of student you are.

What is a Phoenix Scholar Award?

The Phoenix Scholar Awards provide a discounted tuition rate to non-resident undergraduate students who meet the academic criteria described below. This is not “financial aid” nor is it a “scholarship” in the traditional sense. Instead, it is a lower tuition rate offered to qualifying undergraduate students.

How do I qualify?

UW-Green Bay has set criteria for the levels of Phoenix Scholar Awards available to non-resident students based on their past academic performance, specifically test scores and grade point average. All students must also be enrolled full-time to receive a Phoenix Scholar Award. Please note, this award does not apply for Wisconsin and Minnesota residents, because the tuition rate for residents of these states is already discounted.
