Long before many institutions were even considering how to serve adult learners, the University of Wisconsin Green Bay’s Adult Degree Program was providing adult students in Northeast Wisconsin with the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree at times and in ways that understood and respected the busy lives of working adults. For 30 years, the Adult Degree Program has helped adult learners to achieve their goals and dreams of a college education.
The Bachelor of Arts Degree focuses on developing skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making and builds these skills on the foundation of a liberal arts education. Topped off with an Area of Emphasis that helps students to focus their degree on the professional area that interests them, this program is designed to provide adult students with the skills and credentials necessary to compete in a rapidly changing workplace.
A UW degree for working adults
The Adult Degree Program is designed to meet the needs of working adults who wish to earn their bachelor’s degree, but find it difficult or impossible to do so at traditional times.
