Outreach and Adult Access

Degree Requirements

The Interdisciplinary Studies major helps students gain a broad intellectual understanding of the interrelationships of learning among several areas of study including the social sciences, natural sciences, humanities and fine arts, and business and economics. The Interdisciplinary Studies major prepares the student to apply this learning in his or her professional, community, and personal activities and is a suitable preparation for graduate work in a number of programs.

Each student will identify an Area of Emphasis, either Organizational Communication or a self-directed Area of Emphasis. The plan of study for the Area of Emphasis is reviewed by your advisor and, upon approval, becomes the student's specialty within the Interdisciplinary Studies major.
