Our Students
Adult Degree students share a common desire for higher education that fits their busy schedules. But beyond that, they are as individualistic as any group of students drawn from many backgrounds and many places.
They range in age from 25 to 74. Most have been out of school for 10 years or more. Some are retired, some are homemakers, and many of them (75%) have full-time jobs and family commitments (77% married, 40% with children at home).
More than half live 50 miles or further from campus, with some living as far as 150 miles from Green Bay, including students from the bordering states of Illinois, Minnesota, and upper Michigan.
They come from diverse ethnic backgrounds, a wide range of economic circumstances, and many types of employment.
Adult Degree students who visit campus feel right at home. That's because more than 23% of all students enrolled at UW-Green Bay are over the age of 25.
About one-third of all Adult Degree students who complete the Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies go on to graduate studies.
