Hi, my name is Linda Briggs-Dineen and I am one of newest members of the Adult Degree Programs’ team of Academic Advisors. I’m excited to be a part of this dynamic, service-oriented team helping busy adults access a variety of quality educational programs.
I have over twenty years of experience serving students in higher education and have been a nontraditional student myself. I can relate to the needs of adult learners. I know what it is like to have a family (a husband and two daughters), a full-time job, and to be a returning student balancing multiple responsibilities.
I completed my Master of Arts degree in Adult Education and Instructional Design from Alverno College focusing my studies on the self-reported needs of nontraditional students. Because of my life experiences and graduate studies, I understand not just the challenges but the benefits of being an adult learner.
As your advisor, I will help you navigate the logistics of being a college student (again!) and, from orientation to graduation, will be here to answer your questions, give you program advice, and help you access the resources you need to be successful. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you to reach your educational goals!
