My name is Jennifer Hendryx and I am very excited to be a part of the Adult Degree Program team. I joined the staff in the fall of 2008 as an Instructional Technologist. In this role I work closely with the Adult Degree faculty and staff as their primary resource for instructional design support in online and hybrid course environments. In addition, I am the Desire2Learn (D2L) technical support contact for all Adult Degree Program students. I encourage faculty, staff, and students in the Adult Degree Program to contact me with any technical questions they may have regarding online learning and D2L.
I would also like to offer my words of encouragement to those of you who are nontraditional students. I too was a nontraditional student. In 2001, after a ten year hiatus, I returned to school as an adult learner. Two short years later I earned two A.A.S. degrees from Moraine Park Technical College in Computer Information Systems (Network Specialist and Technical Support Specialist). From there I continued my education at the University of Wisconsin-Stout earning my B.S. in Career, Technical Education, and Training in 2006. At that point I had been in school for five years and figured what was another two years so I continued my educational quest. Finally, in 2008 I completed my M.S. in Career and Technical Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. It is truly never too late to go back to school. Hopes, dreams, and goals can be obtained at any age.
Hang in there! Your degree is within reach!
