Career Counseling and Internship Coordinator
Cofrin Library CL206N
Hi there! My name is Lynn Brandt and I am the Career Counseling and Internship Coordinator for the Adult Degree Program. I have the pleasure of meeting with prospective and current Adult Degree students, along with alumni from our program, up to six months after they graduate, for career-related issues. Some of the services available are career assessment, resume and cover letter assistance, job searching tips and interviewing skills. Another focus of my position is to coordinate internships for students who are pursuing an Interdisciplinary Studies major.
I am also an academic advisor in the program and work with students from the time they enter the program until they graduate. I love what I do and am very passionate about guiding students on their educational journey. The best part of my role is getting to build relationships with my students. I really enjoy getting to know each student on a personal level. I think it is extremely important to form a solid foundation of trust from the very beginning and, of course, have fun along the way!
I started my educational journey at UW-Green Bay in the Adult Degree Program. I graduated in spring 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. I think my experiences with the ADP give me invaluable insight into what it takes to be successful as an adult student. After graduation from UWGB, I knew I wasn't finished yet, so I continued my education at UW Oshkosh and received my Masters of Science in Counselor Education in spring 2004. I am very excited to be part of the awesome team in the Adult Degree Program at UWGB.
