Making a Gift Annual Giving
If you would like to make a gift, please click here or you may contact the Office of University Advancement at (920) 465-2074.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay offers a number of ways in which to contribute. An individual, business or foundation may make a gift to a wide variety of programs and activities. The three primary annual giving fund-raising initiatives on campus include:

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Founders Association
The University raises money to support the overall academic mission of the University through the UW-Green Bay Founders Association.

The Edward W. Weidner Center for the Performing Arts
The Weidner Center has a membership sponsorship program that assures high quality, culturally diverse programming is accessible in Northeast Wisconsin.

The Phoenix Fund
The Phoenix Fund provides direct financial support of the University's 15 NCAA Division I athletic teams.

The University of Wisconsin-
Green Bay Founders Association

The University of Wisconsin Green Bay Founders Association is the primary giving vehicle for annual gifts in support of the University. Originally founded in 1973, the Founders Association encompasses community, alumni and employee giving which directly supports the University's academic mission. As a tax-assisted university, UW-Green Bay receives only 41 percent of its operating budget from the State of Wisconsin, another 33 percent from tuition and fees, leaving a gap of 26 percent to be filled through special program funding, grants and private philanthropy. Gifts, therefore, are necessary for the University to continue to provide the high quality educational environment for which it has become known.

Individuals may make an unrestricted or restricted gift to the University. Unrestricted gifts are critical to the University as they allow funding for programs and activities which may otherwise go under-funded or receive no funding. Activities and programs receiving support from unrestricted gifts to the UW-Green Bay Founders Association include student scholarships, the International Studies program, faculty research and development, the Outstanding Thesis Award, the Lawton Art Gallery and much more. Restricted gifts to the UW-Green Bay Founders Association tend to be directed to named scholarship funds, but may also be directed to specific academic units or activities.

Gifts to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Founders Association may be made by cash, check, credit card, gifts of stock, or through gifts-in-kind. If you are considering making a gift which does not match one of the mentioned categories, please contact the University Advancement Office.

Phoenix Fund
Since its creation in 1987, the Phoenix Fund has provided important philanthropic support to the University's NCAA Division I athletic program. This support is essential as the athletic program strives for excellence and brings national prestige and recognition to the University and the region.

The purpose of the Phoenix Fund is to help Phoenix athletics maintain competitive excellence and meet today's financial challenges. Phoenix Fund membership contributions provide unrestricted support that can be used where the need is the greatest. Sponsorship, and gifts of goods and services to the program, are welcome.
