Our Mission

The Academic Advising Office provides personalized developmental advising to first-year, new transfer, and undeclared students. Through individual and group sessions, students have access to the support and information needed to help them earn degrees in a timely and cost-effective manner and to become effective decision-makers in the management of their academic careers.

If you have questions regarding Fall 2018 Registration or would like to meet with your assigned Academic Advisor, please call (920) 465-2111 to schedule an appointment or stop in at the GBOSS desk Student Services 1100.  All students are being seen on an appointment basis.
Appointment hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 - 12:00 & 1:00 - 3:30

Learn about the process, communication practices, and approaches to working with students struggling academically.

Early alert is an integral component to student success. General education permeates our curriculum. Courses double count with our academic programs, act as an introduction to college and capstone to a major, and serve as foundational coursework in our majors/minors. Join Director of Academic Advising, Darrel Renier, and Professor of Psychology, Dr. Ryan Martin as they walk you through the requirements from a student perspective, show you how to use SIS to your advantage, and provide you with some resources to assist you in your advising practice.

Transfer student advising can be one of the most challenging aspects of an advisor’s work. Understanding transfer equivalencies, how to navigate SIS to effectively minimize the time it takes to advise, and make better decisions for curriculum management is critical. Learn about transfer advising with Andrew Meyer, Transfer Student Coordinator, and Darrel Renier, Director of Academic Advising, as they guide you through a PowerPoint and Q&A session.
