• OVERVIEW

There are two kinds of probation actions - Academic Probation and Strict Probation. Probation is indicated on your UWGB transcript which you can access through your SIS account. In either case, the probation is a warning of poor performance and alerts you to the need for immediate attention to your academic skills and goals.

If you find yourself on academic or strict probation, see your advisor today. Get the help you need to get yourself back on the track to success.

Academic Standing	Cumulative GPA
Good Standing	2.0 or higher
Academic Warning – This is a non-punitive notification and is not transcripted.	2.0 or higher AND the end of semester grade point average is less than 2.0.
Probation	1.0-1.99 Note: Student who fails to return to good standing at the end of the probation term will be placed on strict probation if cumulative GPA remains between 1.0 and 1.99.
Strict Probation	1.0-1.99 at end of probationary term. Note: Student must regain good academic standing at the end of the strict probationary term or will be suspended.
Suspension	Less than 2.0 at the end of a semester on strict probation OR Cumulative GPA falls below 1.0
