OVERVIEW OF THE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM:
International studies is an increasingly useful field of study as the world we live in becomes more complex and connected. The employment market for individuals with foreign language competence, cross-cultural sensitivity, and knowledge of the world is growing rapidly.
The International Studies Certificate is formal recognition on the transcript that a student has successfully completed a set of courses drawn from many disciplines which provide a strong background in international studies. The certificate also attests to a student's having achieved some proficiency in a foreign language and/or some experience abroad.

- Keep in mind that this program is not a major or a minor. It is a certificate that you will receive upon completion. Remember that you cancount courses toward the certificate that you already counted toward your major or minor! Therefore, if you plan wisely, it won’t take any extra time to complete the certificate!
