Financial Aid
From SSS Connection Newsletter, Winter 2003

Yes! It is time to start thinking about financial aid for 2004-5. Timing and accuracy are equally important factors to consider if you want to maximize your financial aid award. Try to complete, and ask your parents to complete, the federal income tax form for 2003 as early as possible. It is to your advantage to submit your financial aid application by March 1, 2004.

The paper application will be available after January 1, 2004, but we highly recomment that you complete the application on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you remember your federal pin number and you filed electronically last year you can submit an electronic renewal application.

If you are interested in exploring non-campus scholarship opportunities for yourself, go to www.fastweb.com and register for a personalized scholarship search. On campus scholarship information is available on the financial aid web page, with applications due by February 15, 2004.

Fly Away!

Do you want to experience diversity at it’s best? What about visiting Stonehenge, cuddling a koala, standing at the birthplace of Western Civilization, or exploring the arts in Florence, Italy. Better yet, get college credits for traveling and learning about other cultures. Yes, it’s that simple! This opportunity is called Study Abroad. There is no better way to get college credit and travel at the same time. Many students have taken advantage of the study abroad program at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and came back with new appreciation for cultural diversity and the life they have in the states.
