Veronica Brieno-Rankin,

Veronica Brieno-Rankin is a graduate intern at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas where she is a hydrogeologist studying regional groundwater flow and solute transport in the Yucca Mountain, Nevada proposed nuclear waste repository site. Brieno-Rankin earned a Master of Law degree with distinction from the University of Dundee – Scotland, with a major in mineral law and policy. She also pursued space science studies at the University of North Dakota. She is currently completing work toward a Ph.D. degree in geological and engineering sciences at Michigan Technological University - Houghton.
