William Hanrahan is a Dane County Circuit Court Judge, appointed by Governor James Doyle in 2007. He was formerly with the Wisconsin Department of Justice as an Assistant Attorney General where he was the director of the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit responsible for the prosecution of white-collar crimes involving physical abuse, sexual assault and neglect of residents of healthcare facilities.

Hanrahan was named "Leader in the Law" by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
