When you receive an email or postcard with the toll-free telephone number, you may call to speak with a PCI representative who will walk you through the verification process. If you have received an email with a personalized URL, you may go to the online site to check your information. If you have questions at anytime, you may call PCI’s customer service desk at 1-877-893-9701. Who will be included in the directory?Only UW-Green Bay alumni will be in the directory. A few graduates request that their information not be published, and we respect that request. Who is PCI: the data company?PCI, also known as Publishing Concepts, Inc. is a Dallas, Texas-based company that creates and publishes alumni directories for educational institutions. PCI has been in the university and college directory business for over 90 years. How do I know it’s not a scam?If you receive any other suspicious e-mail messages requesting that you reply via e-mail to verify alumni information, these are likely scams. The only way the UW-Green Bay Alumni Association is collecting updates for this project is through the toll-free number; the legitimate message will NOT ask you to reply via e-mail. If you have any questions about the legitimacy of an e-mail message you receive, please contact the UW-Green Bay Alumni Relations Office at 920-465-2586, or alumni@uwgb.edu. Can I choose that some or all of my information NOT be included in the directory?Absolutely. You may tell the caller what information you would prefer to have excluded when you call to update/verify your information. You may also communicate this information to the PCI customer service desk or the UW-Green Bay Alumni Relations Office. What safeguards ensure the directory information is not misused?The UW-Green Bay Alumni Association has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:
When does the project begin?The 2011 directory project will begin June 1, 2011. Over the next couple of months, Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) will be contacting UW-Green Bay alumni via mail, phone and e-mail requesting you to call the toll-free number and update your profile. Is this project legitimate?This project is legit. UW-Green Bay and the Alumni Association are partnering with PCI because we don’t have the financial and human resources to update our growing alumni base – now nearing 29,000 total graduates. What if there is an error in my UW-Green Bay degree information?UW-Green Bay degree information comes directly from official UW-Green Bay records. If you notice an error, please contact the UW-Green Bay Alumni Relations Office directly at 920-465-2586 or alumni@uwgb.edu. PCI operators are not authorized to make changes to degree information. How much does the directory cost?A print or CD-ROM version of the directory is available for $89.95 plus $9.95 shipping and handling. You can also order the print directory together with the CD-ROM for $129.95 plus $15.95. (This package comes with a complimentary companion airline voucher. It is essentially a “buy-one-get-one-free” airline ticket.) How do I cancel the directory/package order I placed over the phone?Call the PCI customer service help desk at 1-877-893-9701, and they will take care of this for you. When will I receive my directory?The total duration of the directory project is about 12 months. Since we began the project in June of 2011, the directories will be distributed in July of 2012. (If you ordered a Pride of Alumni Collection, these will be distributed at the same time as the books.) I ordered a package containing the Companion Airline Voucher, but I haven’t received the email with my voucher number.Vouchers are distributed within 4-6 weeks of receipt of payment. If this time has elapsed and you have not received your voucher, please call the PCI customer service desk at 1-877-893-9701 to request your voucher to be sent. |
