Alumni Mentor Program
Make a difference in a young graduate’s life
If you could go back and relive your first job out of UWGB, would you? It was exciting, but so hard. Unfortunately, you can't tip your younger self off to life's pitfalls and rewards, but you can do this for a recent UW-Green Bay graduate. We’ve created a one-year Alumni Mentor program beginning when your schedule allows. Get paired with a recent graduate and provide professional mentoring to help him or her grow in their field and career. Build a strong relationship and be a long term resource for your mentee, sharing your hard-earned wisdom. Help them to capitalize on opportunities, avoid pitfalls, develop their professional skills and grow in their career.

Connect with your mentee eight times throughout the year.
At your first meeting, work with your mentee to choose eight topics he/she would like to work on throughout the year.
Fill out the Mentoring Goals worksheet with your mentee and use this document to work from throughout the year.
Your mentee will be responsible for completing a brief summary of what they learned and is also asked to communicate with you regarding the outcome of utilizing the skills you’ve taught them.
Discuss topics that may include:
- Developing career goals
- Resume writing & interview tips
- Best use of social media
- Business etiquette
- Extracurricular activities & volunteering
- Communication guidelines
- Understanding co-workers & corporate culture
- Business writing
- Time management & prioritizing
- Leadership development
