Alumni and others who contribute to UW-Green Bay's annual giving campaign enjoy the option of making their gift online via this direct connection to a secure server administered by the University of Wisconsin Foundation — one of America's largest and most respected — ensures the highest level of security and customer service. Assets are pooled and managed until disbursements are made for the benefits of UW-Green Bay and its students.

Upon entering the secure site, you will be prompted for information as to the nature of your gift, your preferred method of payment, and basic contact details. This process of putting your generosity to work for UW-Green Bay begins with answers to two key questions. The first — how much? — is self-explanatory. The second — which category? — helps inform institutional decision-making as to how unrestricted gifts should be applied.

Start here to designate the amount, and nature, of your gift

1. Browse to the secure UW Foundation site to make a gift to the UW-Green Bay annual fund.
2. Register your affinity as a proud UW-Green Bay alumni donor
   The online form's second field will require that you type (or, better yet, copy) the following:
   • Alumni campaign
   Please use your browser to copy these two words, carry them forward to the secure form, and paste them into the field provided. Insert this information at the green-colored text headlined 'UW-Green Bay Advancement-Online Giving Program'
3. Memorial gifts (optional)
   Occasionally, those making especially large or otherwise notable annual gifts will request that their contributions and honorees be acknowledged in this fashion. Most annual-fund donors will leave this field blank.
4. Acknowledgement
   After completing all required fields and clicking 'submit,' you will receive your official tax receipt from the University of Wisconsin Foundation. You will also receive written acknowledgement from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay; any annual gift makes you a member of the Founders Association philanthropic support group for that fiscal year.

Restricted giving is another revenue

Your annual gift to UW-Green Bay is of particular value if it is 'unrestricted,' allowing the university flexibility to apply the funds immediately to an area of greatest need, be it scholarships, academic programs or international initiatives. Many individuals, however, in addition to their annual unrestricted gifts, have made separate, one-time contributions to the University's capital campaign. Often these gifts to the Campaign for UW-Green Bay are 'restricted,' with the donor designating his or her area of interest — sometimes broadly (the Kress Events Center project, or the faculty/staff development fund, for example) and sometimes quite specifically to a particular academic area or program to benefit students (named scholarships or professorships). Other ways to give

Donors who use the Web for information gathering but prefer other methods for conveying payment can request a gift form from University Advancement at 920-465-2074. Consult the material here, but follow the separate instructions on the printed form to complete your confidential statement.
