Transfer Advice for Art Majors
Students begin the transfer process by applying and sending their transcripts to UWGB for credit evaluation. After credit evaluation students see their Art Advisor as soon as possible. Please note that all degree-seeking students at UW-Green Bay must have an interdisciplinary major or minor. Art is a disciplinary major. Art Majors need an interdisciplinary minor. Art majors often select a minor in Design Arts or Arts Management, although there are several other choices. Students often have a second major in Design Arts or Arts Management because a number of classes count for both majors. Refer to the links below for program requirements and information.

Students declare themselves Art Majors or Minors with a signed form from the Art Advisor as soon as possible, preferably no later than their sophomore year. Many of the lower-level art courses have a priority registration designation to reserve seats for the declared art major/minor.
Art Majors select one emphasis from:
• STUDIO ART
• ART EDUCATION
• GALLERY/MUSEUM PRACTICES
