Assessment
Various internal and external assessment mechanisms have always been a part of UW-Green Bay's operation, but efforts toward a coordinated and comprehensive policy began in 1988 when a working group on assessment was appointed by the Vice Chancellor. In 1990, the Vice Chancellor appointed the university's Institutional Committee on Assessment with the immediate charge of responding to the UW System's requirement to assess the general education skills of students at the end of the sophomore year. Between 1992 and 1995, the Institutional Committee on Assessment developed a comprehensive institutional assessment plan. That plan, along with reports on several of its components, is available here.
