About Us

We are a partnership of 17 counties in Northeast Wisconsin committed to providing training and supporting best practices in crisis intervention and other behavioral health services.

About Us

The Behavioral Health Training Partnership (BHTP) is funded via the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Northeast Regional Crisis Grant, Medicaid administrative dollars, and county contributions.

The purpose of the Partnership is training about and implementation of best practices in crisis prevention and intervention through enhancement of behavioral health services. The partnership was formed by the 17 counties in the region and serves those county agencies and their contracted providers. We are housed with, and work collaboratively with, the NEW Partnership for Children and Families, who provides child welfare training to 26 counties within the state.

The partnership is staffed by a full-time Training Manager and a part-time Program Assistant. The BHTP Steering Committee and Training Advisory Committee provide oversight to the staff of the partnership, along with the Director of the NEW Partnership at UW-Green Bay.

BHTP offers a variety of learning opportunities through our web-based curriculum, classroom training, and site-based consultation and training. We are committed to working closely with our county agencies to best meet their needs in relation to training and consultation around behavioral health issues and programs.
