Nymphoides peltata is an aquatic plant that superficially resembles a small pond lily, but is actually in a different family. Compare it to our common yellow and white pond lilies, and the small water shield.

It is an alien species and is known to be invasive in other states, but so far is know from only two locations in Wisconsin.
