There is more to geospatial technology than learning to manipulate desktop software, but that is where most of us start. The Biodiversity Center has tried to keep track of the various education products available, especially those that serve users who are just getting started.


Formal Instruction At UW-Green Bay
The UW-Green Bay Course Catalog includes several geospatial technology offerings.

Geographic Information Systems is an introduction to desktop GIS software taught in the Public and Environmental Affairs department.

Advanced Geographic Information Systems, also taught in Public and Environmental Affairs explores the complex anaytical capability of desktop GIS software.

GIS In Health was taught in 2010 in response to interest from students

Remote Sensing and GIS requires students to apply geospatial technology to assess and predict environmental conditions with an emphasis on the Upper Midwest. The course is taught in the Natural and Applied Sciences department and is required for the Environmental Science major.
