2. Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a 700 acre urban wildlife refuge with an excellent trail system and live animal exhibits. Managed by City of Green Bay Park Department, this is one of the premier birdwatching areas in northeastern Wisconsin. Feeders and ponds maintain high abundance of birds year round. Exhibits of rehabilitated birds and displays with other educational themes provide resources for schools and other visitors. A recently established wolf exhibit and new buildings attract thousands of visitors annually.

Facilities

mountain lionThe Nature Center includes both indoor and outdoor exhibits of local wildlife. Approximately 5 miles of trails are available for hiking and cross country skiing. Numerous programs are presented by professional naturalists and volunteers. The wide vairety of activities and exhibits help make this a first rate outdoor education facility.
