Spotted Knapweed (Centaurea maculosa)

Spotted SnapweedSpotted knapweed is most troublesome on dunes and other sandy shoreline areas of the Great Lakes and on sandy, open sites of low productivity.  It is often conspicuous on abandoned fields on poor soils and other disturbed sites, but also invades natural areas.
