Segregated fees will be charged for all credits except off-campus credits.
$25 per credit Online Course fee will apply to internet credits in addition to tuition.

Use this chart if you are taking ONLY Off-campus courses.
"Off Campus" = Courses with a fixed scheduled meeting time held in a non-state facility that are group based with course component LEC, SEM, LAB or DIS; and online courses related to 'Special Programs' with distinct programming fees.
Off Campus excludes internships, co-ops, independent studies and independent research.

Students will be assessed resident or non-resident tuition for online and off-campus courses according to UW System policy for on-campus courses. In other words, if you are not a WI resident and are taking an internet course only, you will not be charged non-resident fees.
Segregated fees are assessed for ALL courses (up to the approved maximum for graduate and undergraduate courses in a given semester) if a student is registered ANY on-campus and/or online (internet) credits. Segregated fees are not assessed if a student is only registered for off-campus courses.
A Online course is defined as one in which 75 percent or more of the instruction and interaction takes place through a non face-to-face modality. Obnline courses include those that employ correspondence study, or audio, video or computer technologies.
*Online Course Fee - A course fee of $25.00 per credit will be assessed for all online courses. These funds will be used to (1) cover the costs associated with purchasing and maintaining the software that is used to develop and deliver distance education courses; (2) cover the costs of state authorization fees for distance delivery; (3) offset the costs of staffing student support services (e.g. Instructional Design, Help Desk, Library, Advising, Tutoring, etc.) (4) cover the costs associated with purchasing or licensing online library resources; (5) provide specialized training to faculty and teaching academic staff who develop, deliver, and/or support distance education courses; and (6) promote the development of new distance education programs. A full refund of this fee will only occur during the 100% refund period (add/drop period) of a semester or session.

Any student who enrolls in a course for graduate credit or with a graduate student classification will be required to pay graduate level fees for all credits.
Midwest Student Exchange Program
A special tuition rate given to students residing in states participating in the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). MSEP is a voluntary program and 9 of the 12 states in the Midwest Higher Education Compact (MHEC) participate.
