Undergraduate Fee Schedule (no Segregated Fees)
Use this chart if you are taking ONLY Off-campus courses.
"Off Campus" = Courses with a fixed scheduled meeting time held in a non-state facility that are group based with course component LEC, SEM, LAB or DIS; and online courses related to 'Special Programs' with distinct programming fees.
Off Campus excludes all online courses, internships, co-ops, independent studies and independent research.

Credits - between twelve (12) and eighteen (18) credits is considered the tuition plateau. Specific programs may be an exception to the plateau and/or segregated fee policies. January Interim credits will be assessed outside of the tuition plateau.
Students will be assessed resident or non-resident tuition for online and off-campus courses according to the UW System policy for on-campus courses. If you are not a WI resident and are taking an internet course only, you will not be charged non-resident tuition.
Engineering Technology - Effective Fall 2015 a per term $700 differential tuition fee will be charged to declared Engineering Technology majors. (see Engineering Technology webpage for more program information)
Segregated fees are assessed for ALL credits (up to a maximum of 12 credits for undergraduate students) if a student is registered for ANY on-campus and/or online (internet) credits. Segregated fees are not assessed if a student is only registered for off-campus courses.
An Online course is defined as one in which 75 percent or more of the instruction and interaction takes place through a non face-to-face modality. Online courses include those that employ correspondence study, or audio, video or computer technologies.
*Online Course Fee - Effective Fall 2016 - A course fee of $25.00 per credit will be assessed for all online courses. These funds will be used to (1) cover the costs associated with purchasing and maintaining the software that is used to develop and deliver distance education courses; (2) cover the costs of state authorization fees for distance delivery; (3) offset the costs of staffing student support services (e.g. Instructional Design, Help Desk, Library, Advising, Tutoring, etc.) (4) cover the costs associated with purchasing or licensing online library resources; (5) provide specialized training to faculty and teaching academic staff who develop, deliver, and/or support distance education courses; and (6) promote the development of new distance education programs. A full refund of this fee will only occur during the 100% refund period (add/drop period) of a semester or session.

Audit credits count as full value in determination of a total credit load.
If an undergraduate student receives permission to enroll for 19 or more credits, an additional charge will be assessed for EACH credit, as illustrated for the nineteenth credit above.
Midwest Student Exchange Program
A special tuition rate given to students residing in states participating in the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). MSEP is a voluntary program and 9 of the 12 states in the Midwest Higher Education Compact (MHEC) participate. Iowa, South Dakota and Ohio do not participate in MSEP at this time.
