Careers & Graduate Information

The Marketing emphasis at UW-Green Bay focuses on the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives. The study of Marketing includes the study of sales and advertising principles, brand and product management, planning, and research. This emphasis also has an option of studying Marketing from a global perspective.

Remember that Marketing is not a major entirely by itself. It is an area of emphasis within the Business Administration major. Make sure you read what's on this page, as well as the information on Business Administration to learn more about the program!

  • BE MOBILE. Many of the better employment opportunities in marketing are in large cities.  Be willing to move to enhance your career goals.

  • THINK INTERNSHIP.   Employers prefer graduates who already have relevant experience.

  • THINK SECOND LANGUAGE. Consider the benefits of learning a second language. In the field of business, knowing a second language will make you extremely valuable (and attractive!) to employers whether you work in the U.S. or abroad!
