Marilyn received her B.A. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in 1975, her Masters in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University in 1977, and her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Dr. Sagrillo has taught Introductory Accounting, Managerial Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting, Financial Information Systems, Auditing Standards and Procedures, and Business and Its Environment. She currently teaches the upper level management accounting sequence, Managerial Accounting II and III.

Dr. Sagrillo has been a contributing author on Accounting Principles, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting textbooks. She has also done research on the role of information on performance.

Dr. Sagrillo has served as the advisor to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, and has been a member of many university committees, including the General Education Council. Marilyn received the 1990 Founders Award for Excellence in Teaching.
