Cindy Vopal is an associate lecturer of business law for the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay. She received her B.A. in political science and history from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana in 1991 and her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1994. She gained admittance to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1994, and currently practices law as an Assistant District Attorney for the Brown County District Attorney’s Office.
Ms. Vopal currently teaches undergraduate classes in business law, introductory law and criminal justice process. She has taught women and the law, criminal law, and legal research and writing in the past.
In terms of research and writing, Ms. Vopal has issued oral and written decisions as the Municipal Judge for the Village of Bellevue. As an assistant district attorney for the state of Wisconsin, she has argued cases to juries and judges as well as successfully argued the state’s case in a written brief to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.
Ms. Vopal has worked with youth organizations through her church and community. She has volunteered as a high school religious education teacher. She was also a coach for the West High School Mock Trial team and enjoys volunteering and helping with her sons’ youth sports teams as well as other activities.
