Jim Loebl is an assistant professor in accounting for the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay. He received his B.A. in economics from Santa Clara University in 1978, his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in 1982, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida in 2000.
Professor Loebl is currently teaching upper division courses in financial accounting, including intermediate and advanced financial accounting. Past courses taught include business law, individual income tax, advanced income tax, introductory accounting and managerial accounting.
In terms of research, Professor Loebl’s interests are primarily in the areas of tax policy and estate planning.
In terms of service, Jim is currently a member of the faculty senate. In addition, he is the faculty adviser to the UW-Green Bay students who participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service.
