Mussie Teclezion is an associate professor of finance for the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay. He received B.A. in Accounting from University of Asmara, Eritrea in 1999, M.B.A. from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2003, and PhD in Business Administration (Finance) from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in 2008.
Dr. Teclezion teaches a wide variety of undergraduate classes in finance, including Corporation Finance, International Financial Management, and Advanced Investments. His research areas include corporate investment policy, geographic and industrial diversification strategies, mergers & acquisitions, and earnings management.
Dr. Teclezion’s research interests include financial and investment policies of firms, geographic and industrial diversification strategies, mergers & acquisitions, and earnings management. Dr. Teclezion’s research examines value of a dollar to investors of industrially and internationally diversified firms as well as the extent of over-investment of free cash flow associated with international diversification strategy.
In term of service, Dr. Teclezion is a faculty advisor for AIESEC Green Bay. AIESEC is world’s largest student run organization. He is also a member of the Green Bay’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration planning committee and chairs the Fundraising Sub-Committee. He is member of Financial Management Association and serves as a reviewer for a journal.
