Tom Harter been playing both acoustic and electric guitar for over 30 years. Through early years of lessons and self-education based in blues, classic rock, fusion, and progressive rock he has become a jack-of-many-guitar-trades. In the 90's he performed original jazz-rock with his band Morpheus, played lead guitar in The B. B. Shine Blues Band, and completed an all original acoustic CD. Since then he has expanded to recording and producing not only his own music but that of other local artists. In 2003 he completed his second all original CD while finishing editing/production of the CD "Etchings" for local metal-core band Disinformation Machine with whom he has also performed. A year later found him fronting his own power trio Winona's Handbag (featuring songs of Jimi Hendrix, Cream, The Who, and others) while also playing lead guitar for the full-band version of local favorites Voices of Eve. Most recently he won the 2007 Guitar Center King of the Blues competition in Appleton while continuing to write and record original songs.
