Linda
G. Peacock-Landrum, peacockl@uwgb.edu
Director of Career Services
Linda is entering her 10th year as Director at UW-Green Bay. During her
tenure, she has focused on improving and expanding services for students,
expanding internship opportunities, and creatively connecting students and employers
for mutual benefit. A native of Georgia, Linda has 19 years of experience
in the field of career development. She completed her BA degree in
Philosophy with a concentration in Chemistry from Emory University in
Atlanta, GA. Linda received her Master of Science Degree in College
Student Personnel with a Career Development emphasis from Miami University
in Oxford, OH. Linda worked previously at Miami University and St.
Lawrence University in upstate New York. Most recently she served as the
Director of Career Services at Frostburg State University in western
Maryland for 6 years. |

Karla

Program Coordinator for Recruitment Programs
In
addition to providing career counseling and workshops for students/alumni,
Karla coordinates the On-campus Recruiting Program, the Fall and Spring Job & Internship Fairs, and
the annual Graduate Follow-Up Survey. She is also responsible
for maintenance of the Career Service's website. A
Biology major at UW-La Crosse, Karla worked for over 5 years as a Quality
Assurance/Final Product Chemist for Cargill, Inc. During that time, she
also performed extensive recruiting and interviewing for Cargill's
technical positions. In 1998, she graduated with her MS.Ed. in College
Student Development & Administration. She served as Associate
Director for Special Programs at a private college for two years, then
joined the staff at UW-Green Bay in July 2000. |

Steven Newton

Program Coordinator for Career Development
Steven came to Career Services at
UW-Green Bay in Fall 2004 from Buffalo State College, State
University of New York where he had worked for 3 years in a very
similar position. Prior to his work at BSC, he was a Career
Counselor at Canisius College in NY and spent 6 years in parish
ministry with the United Methodist Church. He received his BA
from Houghton College in NY and his Master's degree from Asbury
Theological Seminary in Kentucky. |

Pam Suster,

Program Assistant and Recruitment Coordinator
Pam has worked in Career Services at UW-Green Bay
for the past 25 years. She
is a graduate of Bryant and Stratton College, Milwaukee, and her
previous employers include St. Mary’s Hospital Burn Center in
Milwaukee, UW-Madison University Health Services and the Green
Bay Correctional Institution.
She serves as the Office Manager and supervises all
student assistants. She
works closely with our Program Coordinator for Recruitment to
schedule and manage on-campus recruitment and employer visits. Pam also plays a major role in the office’s recruiting
system (PRO)
functions. |
